At Zion Hill Assembly, we not only preach the gospel but model it practically by creating an environment where people feel valued, accepted, and loved. This is also reflected in our tireless efforts to win souls to Christ. Every sermon, activity, and program is centered around this goal of sharing the salvation message with those who need it. Furthermore, a caring church is one that extends its love beyond its four walls and reaches out to the community by offering help and services to those in need. At ZHA (Gods Dwelling Place) we manifest Christ's love daily. Join us and truly experience the transforming power of the gospel.

Meet The Pastor................
On January 15, 1963, Mary Aswei was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Sweiyi Fiddo both of a blessed memory in Degema Local Government of Rivers State. She began her educational journey at St. Barth’s Primary School Degema (FSLC) and moved on with her secondary education at Birabi Memorial Grammar School Bori where she had her WAEC in 1984. Been passionate in education and quest for knowledge she started her tertiary education at the University of Port Harcourt (Uniport, Choba) where she had her Bachelor of Education in History in 1989 and finished her NYSC in 1990. In1993 she completed her Master’s degree program in History. She also achieved a PhD honors in Diplomacy and International Studies at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in 2022.
Dr. (Pastor, Mrs.) Mary Aswei Adewale is married to her beloved husband Dr. Oluwagbemiga Adewale.
They together established their facility called Ultimate Specialist Hospital located in Port Harcourt. They are blessed with three wonderful children Abiodun Ukpeneosuo Adewale, Oluwaropo-Ayo Ngozi Adewale and Oluwafemi Preye Adewale.
She began her Christian journey at an early age in St Bartholomew Anglican church Degema, but later joined the Redeemed Christian church of God in August 1991 at the old Regional Headquarters which was the only parish in Port Harcourt and the entire south-south and south-east of Nigeria. June 1992, she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ and started her new journey in Christ. Her deep hunger and thirst for the knowledge of God and also doing His will, drew her to join the work force in 1992 in the choir department. By 1996, RCCG Rivers State was broken down into different areas. She became the first music director of the Headquarters Area-1996. She rejected ordination for many years because she didn’t want to be a pastor. However by 2003 she couldn’t revert her calling as she was finally ordained as a deaconess.
She became the Assistant Parish Pastor of RCCG Strong Tower Parish in 2004 and in 2006 a Parish Pastor at RCCG Strong Tower Parish. In 2009, she was transferred to be the parish pastor at RCCG Upper Room parish, and with the help and mercy of God, she was promoted to be an Area Pastor at Transformation Area in 2011. She became the first Area Pastor at RCCG Tabernacle of His Glory Area in 2013 and also ordained as full Pastor in 2014. In 2015, she was transferred to RCCG Zion Hill Assembly Area as the Pastor in-charge of the Area in an event center located along Total Gospel Road.
To the glory of God through His mercies, with her beloved husband He blessed her with, they were able to accomplish some projects such as, the completion and dedication of RCCG Transformation Parish within 6 months in 2012, refurbishing of RCCG Tabernacle of His Glory Area and tackling the serious flooding problem affecting the church.
However in 2015 she was transferred to RCCG Zion Hill Assembly Area were they started the major project of relocating RCCG Zion Hill Assembly to its permanent site in canopies from showers ventures in 2016. The permanent site was acquired through a loan from Jubilee Bank for the purchase of a land which has been fully paid through the help of God. Thereafter, the building project commenced and was completed and dedicated in 2019 to the glory of the Almighty God.
In the area of church planting, under her leadership, these following churches were planted; RCCG Tree of Life Parish Abua, August 2013; RCCG Sure Mercies of David Parish October 2013; RCCG Tabernacle of Praise Parish, March 2014; RCCG Tabernacle of the Most High, December 2014; RCCG Great Mercy Assembly Parish, December 2021 at Akwa Ibom State in Eneng –Obom community; RCCG City of Zion Parish April 2022.
She is a team player in the Rivers State province 14. Thus, she was appointed the leader of the Go A Fishing committee in The Lord City Zone. As the chairperson of the committee, she coordinated and organized the planting of more parishes within the designated locations of the province.
She has many awards for meritorious services in her records too numerous to mention both ministerial and in the secular. To God Be The Glory!
